The suspect was also seen grabbing his daughter by the hair and dragging her while moving on the motorcycle, which caused great anger among bystanders. The incident occurred yesterday evening in the Mevlana neighborhood. Metin K. came to his daughter Y. K. on his motorcycle and slapped her multiple times. He then grabbed her by the hair and dragged her while riding the motorcycle.

The Gaziantep Governorship issued a statement on its social media account, saying, "On June 6, 2026, during an incident in our province where a girl was assaulted, an investigation by our Police Department found marks of violence on the body of the child named Y. K. Upon statements that her father Metin K. had been violent towards her and the children, an investigation was launched and the suspect was detained under the prosecutor's orders." Y. K. was handed over to her mother, and the investigation into the incident continues.
