Father Holding Daughter Hostage in Etimesgut Neutralized in Police Operation
In Ankara's Etimesgut district, a father who took his young daughter hostage was wounded and neutralized in a police operation. The child was rescued unharmed.
In Ankara's Etimesgut district, police launched an operation against M. D., who had taken his young daughter hostage. Teams dispatched to the scene after a tip-off made prolonged efforts to negotiate but were unsuccessful.
Security forces secured the area and continued calls for M. D. to surrender. However, when the father persisted in actions that endangered the child's life, authorities decided to intervene.
Child Rescued Safely
Following the operation, the young child was rescued unharmed. M. D. was wounded and neutralized.
It was also reported that a police dog involved in the operation was injured. After the intervention, health and security teams conducted work in the area.
