FIFA hands Fenerbahçe three-window transfer ban; club vows Monday payment
FIFA has imposed a three-window transfer ban on Fenerbahçe over an installment of Youssef En-Nesyri’s transfer fee. The club said it will make the ordered payment on Monday, after which the ban will be lifted.
FIFA’s registration ban list shows Fenerbahçe has been handed a transfer ban covering three registration periods. The sanction relates to the transfer fee for Youssef En-Nesyri, who joined the club in the 2024-2025 season.
The selling club reportedly took the case to FIFA after an installment due on April 30, 2026 was not paid. The ban is financial and temporary, and is to be lifted if payment is made within 45 days under FIFA rules.
Fenerbahçe said it would make the payment ordered by FIFA on the first working day, Monday, and that the transfer ban would be lifted once bureaucratic procedures with FIFA are completed.
