The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a new recruitment process of particular interest to candidates pursuing a diplomatic career. The ministry will employ up to 80 people in different categories under the 2026 Entrance Examination for Candidate Consular and Specialized Officers.
One of the most notable aspects of the recruitment is that candidates will not be required to submit a KPSS score. However, the absence of a KPSS requirement does not mean that staff will be recruited without an examination. Candidates must meet the graduation, foreign-language and other application requirements and pass the entrance examination organized by the ministry.
Applications will remain open until September 17
Applications that began on August 18, 2026, will close at 12 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
Applications will be submitted electronically through the “Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Career Gateway Public Recruitment” service on e-Government or through Career Gateway. Applications submitted through methods other than those specified in the announcement will not be accepted.
Who can apply?
Candidates must be citizens of the Republic of Türkiye and must not have turned 35 as of January 1, 2026. Accordingly, candidates born on or after January 1, 1991, meet the age requirement.
Graduation and foreign-language requirements vary according to the category for which candidates apply. In addition to meeting the educational requirements specified for the relevant category, candidates must also demonstrate the required foreign-language proficiency.
In addition to English, the announcement covers various foreign-language categories, including German, Arabic, French, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian and Hebrew.
Written examination to be held in Ankara on October 3
The written stage of the entrance examination will be held in Ankara on October 3, 2026.

To be considered successful, candidates must obtain the required minimum score in each section and achieve the specified overall average.
Candidates who pass the written examination will subsequently take a personality inventory and tests measuring reasoning and analytical skills. Candidates who succeed at the end of this process will be invited to an oral examination.
They will serve as diplomatic career officers
