Representing Türkiye at the 2026 CMAS Freediving Pool World Championship in Serbia, Ediz Duman won gold medals in the bi-fins and no-fins categories, securing two world titles.
The 15-year-old national athlete competed successfully despite being the youngest competitor in the junior men's category and facing health issues before the event.
In an interview with AA, Ediz Duman said, "I aim to break three world records next year," and noted that his training is focused on that goal.
The national athlete expressed pride in successfully representing Türkiye, saying, "Representing our flag in international arenas and having our national anthem played is truly a wonderful feeling."
National team coach Sertan Aydın stated that Ediz Duman has shown great progress in a short time thanks to his disciplined work, and that he has the potential to achieve significant success in the coming years.
