Agyei's shot for Kocaelispor in the 38th minute also struck the near post and went out. The first half ended goalless.

Okan Buruk: We played a good match
Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk said after the match that his team had performed well throughout the game. Buruk said they had been effective in the opposition half, particularly in the first half, created numerous scoring opportunities and seen two shots hit the post.
Buruk assessed the performances of new signings Rafael Leao and Deniz Gül in the starting eleven positively, saying the players were not yet physically 100 percent ready and that their adaptation to the team was still continuing.
Buruk congratulated his players on regaining the lead. The coach announced that the team would travel to face Trabzonspor next week and that the conditions of Victor Osimhen and Mario Lemina, who are dealing with injuries, would be assessed according to their treatment process.
Buruk said Wilfried Singo was expected to be ready after the international break and added that the footballer was experiencing pain after taking a knock.
Buruk comments on the Sporting match
Okan Buruk also addressed the 3-1 defeat to Sporting in the UEFA Champions League. Buruk argued that a red card should have been shown when Galatasaray took the lead and criticized the Video Assistant Referee's decision.
Buruk stressed that his team needed to manage games better in European matches, while saying that the team's position at the top of the standings and its performance motivated him despite the criticism.
The Galatasaray head coach also said he was pleased with Aleksey Batrakov's contribution to the team's play. Buruk said Batrakov joined the attacking press, helped in defense and created passing options, adding that the young footballer would develop physically and tactically.
