Galatasaray will visit Trabzonspor tomorrow in the sixth week of the Süper Lig. Referee Batuhan Kolak will officiate the match, which will kick off at 20:00 at Papara Park.
After opening the season with a 2-2 home draw against Arca Çorum FK, the yellow-and-red side won its next four matches to collect 13 points. Galatasaray entered the week at the top of the table, one point ahead of its closest pursuers, Beşiktaş.
Trabzonspor have recorded two wins, one draw and two defeats in their five matches so far. The Bordeaux-and-blue side have seven points, trail leaders Galatasaray by six points and sit ninth on goal difference.
Osimhen and Lemina remain doubtful
It will become clear after the final training session whether Galatasaray's injured players Victor Osimhen and Mario Lemina will feature in the match. Neither player has yet resumed training with the team after suffering groin injuries in the Başakşehir match in the fourth week of the league.
A decision on whether Osimhen and Lemina will be included in the squad for the trip to Trabzonspor will be made after the final training session. Wilfried Singo, who is continuing his treatment, will not be available for the match.
Galatasaray are the league's highest-scoring team
Galatasaray have scored in every match over the five weeks played so far and are the league's highest-scoring team with 13 goals. Beşiktaş, Amed Sportif Faaliyetler and Arca Çorum FK follow with 12 goals each.
Galatasaray have conceded six goals while producing an effective attacking performance. Victor Osimhen is the team's top scorer with six goals, while Gabriel Sara has scored twice; Abdülkerim Bardakcı, Yunus Akgün, Lucas Torreira, Roland Sallai and Davinson Sanchez have each found the net once.
Buruk's league record against Trabzonspor
Okan Buruk has faced Trabzonspor eight times in the Süper Lig, once in the Türkiye Cup and once in the Turkish Super Cup as Galatasaray's manager. Galatasaray have recorded seven wins and two draws in these matches, while suffering one defeat.
The yellow-and-red side have scored 23 goals against Trabzonspor in those matches and conceded eight. Buruk's only defeat against Trabzonspor came in their most recent league meeting.
