The heavy rainfall that intensified from noon in Ankara negatively affected life throughout the capital. Due to the sudden downpour, manholes overflowed, and streets and avenues filled with water. Especially on main arteries, traffic congestion occurred, and drivers had difficulty progressing. Water puddles formed in underpasses, and traffic came to a standstill at many points. Due to the rainfall, the ground floors of some houses and workplaces also faced the risk of flooding. Citizens experienced difficult moments due to the sudden rain and took shelter in enclosed areas such as bus stops. Meteorology officials warned that the heavy rains in the region could be short but intense.
