From Tehran to Ankara
India’s Ministry of External Affairs announced in June the appointment of Shresth, a 1999-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, as ambassador to Türkiye. Before moving to Ankara, he had served as India’s ambassador to Iran since May 2023. He earlier served as High Commissioner to Mozambique from 2016 to 2019 and worked at the Prime Minister’s Office in New Delhi.
