Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi received International Organization for Migration (IOM) Director General Amy E. Pope and her delegation at his office. President of Migration Management Muhammet Selami Yazıcı was also present at the reception.

Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi said: "We discussed global and regional migration movements, efforts to combat irregular migration and migrant smuggling, the voluntary, safe, dignified and orderly return of Syrians, and resettlement processes in third countries.

We will advance our cooperation with the IOM, which has continued for more than 30 years, through concrete projects focused on human dignity, public safety and lasting solutions. I hope our meeting will contribute to sustainable and people-centered approaches to global migration governance."
