Italy coach Mancini held a press conference at Renato Dall'Ara Stadium ahead of his team's UEFA Nations League A Group 1 match against Türkiye in Bologna tonight.
Mancini said the group standings were important but that they needed to focus on each match individually. The Italian coach said his players had done their best so far, adding that only two days had passed since their match against France in Paris and that he would make changes to the lineup.
Mancini said he was satisfied with his team's performance so far, but noted that playing with the same players at short intervals could be tiring for them. He said they would therefore continue to use squad rotation.

Mancini assesses Türkiye
Asked about Türkiye taking the field without Arda Güler and Barış Alper Yılmaz, Mancini said Türkiye had a strong national team made up of very good players.
Mancini said Türkiye coach Vincenzo Montella had taken important steps by guiding the team to the World Cup. He noted that Türkiye would be without some important players but said the match would nevertheless be difficult.
Mancini stressed that underestimating Türkiye would be a mistake, noting that the team would take the field following its defeat by Belgium. The Italian coach said they should not expect an easy match against Türkiye.

Reminded that he had previously described Türkiye as a good team, Mancini said his view had not changed. He said Türkiye had players with high technical ability and added that the team was currently going through a period in which things were not going well. He also said he believed Türkiye had suffered a major misfortune at the World Cup.
Barella: It will not be an easy match
Italy midfielder Barella also discussed the absence of Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who has been unable to play in the UEFA Nations League A matches because of an injury. Barella said Hakan was a great player and a leader, adding that his teammates in Türkiye would feel his absence.

Barella said Türkiye also had other quality players capable of taking on a leadership role and noted that the match would not be easy for Italy. He added that Türkiye could take the field with a desire to respond more strongly after its recent results.
The Italian Football Federation announced that forward Moise Kean had left the national team camp after missing training because of pain.
Italy and Türkiye will meet at 9:45 p.m. Türkiye time today at Renato Dall'Ara Stadium in Bologna in a UEFA Nations League A Group 1 match.
