JP Morgan’s Istanbul Branch announced that it had decided to expand its banking operations in Türkiye and that work in this direction was continuing in coordination with the relevant legal authorities.
The statement said that the process of applying to the Capital Markets Board to revoke the operating authorization of JP Morgan Menkul Değerler AŞ concerned only that company. It emphasized that the company had not conducted any capital markets activities or provided investment services to customers since July 2015.

The process aims to align the legal status of the company, which has long had no active operations, with its current situation and is not connected to recent developments in Türkiye.
It was recalled that JP Morgan Menkul Değerler AŞ and the Istanbul Branch of JP Morgan Chase Bank are legally separate entities, and it was stated that the branch’s banking activities in Türkiye would not be affected by the process.
