Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ) General Manager Mehmet Demiroğlu highlighted foreign interest in HÜRJET, Türkiye’s indigenous jet trainer and light attack aircraft, saying Spain is planning an additional purchase.
“Before we had even started deliveries to our Air Force, Spain said, ‘I like it, I want to buy 30,’ and it did. It is now planning to buy another 15,” Demiroğlu said.
Fleet could reach 45 aircraft

If the additional 15 jets are procured, Spain’s HÜRJET fleet will reach 45 aircraft. No new contract for the extra purchase has been announced yet.
The first deliveries to Spain are targeted for 2028. The Spanish deal is seen as one of the Turkish defense industry’s most significant export successes in Europe.
