Mandatory secure payment system for real estate sales to launch on December 1

The Regulation Amending the Regulation on Real Estate Trade was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.

Under the amendment, the Ministry will authorize an integrator to establish, effectively operate and develop the secure payment system that will be mandatory for real estate sales. Statistical data and reports will also be generated through the system.

The payment system will be established and operated in accordance with a protocol to be signed among the Ministry, the relevant units of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and the integrator.

The protocol will set out which real estate sales will be excluded from the system, as well as the requirements, scope and principles of the pilot application, the payment system usage fee and how that fee will be shared. The establishment, activities, rights and obligations of the commission will also be regulated by the same protocol.

The mandatory secure payment system will launch on December 1.
