The statement noted that tasks related to the establishment, abolition, and jurisdictional changes of courts, as well as efforts to increase staff productivity and motivation, are carried out within the scope of the Ministry of Justice's General Directorate of Personnel, and added the following:
"In line with the Judicial Reform Strategy announced by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it has been aimed to establish an institutional structure within the Ministry to monitor the performance and efficiency of courts based on data analysis, and to take necessary measures including court establishment activities within the Ministry's duties and authorities.
Additionally, to strengthen the right to a trial within a reasonable time and to effectively implement tools related to performance and efficiency, especially the target duration application, Judicial Service Effectiveness Offices are planned to be established within justice commissions."
The newly established Directorate will evaluate the functioning of justice services based on performance, efficiency, and data analysis, and will carry out procedures related to the establishment, abolition, and jurisdictional changes of courts, the statement said.
It was emphasized that the Directorate will also handle tasks related to the establishment of judicial support and victim services directorates, information processing, and judicial registry units, as well as the creation of front office and information desks. The statement added, "The Directorate will also conduct work related to the establishment of Judicial Service Effectiveness Offices within justice commissions and will engage in activities to create mechanisms where judges, public prosecutors, and representatives of relevant institutions and organizations can contribute to identifying problems encountered in the operation of services provided in our courthouses and developing solution proposals."
The statement also noted that tasks related to the Courthouse Personnel Search and Rescue units will be followed by this Directorate.
Justice Minister Gürlek, in a social media post on the subject, stated that in line with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's Turkey Century vision, they have taken an important step to make justice services more accessible, effective, and faster.
Within this scope, Gürlek said they established the Directorate of Effectiveness of Justice Services under the General Directorate of Personnel and made the following remarks:
"This step is also a significant preparatory phase for our 'Alo Adalet' hotline project, which aims to make it easier for our citizens to access justice services. Our new Directorate will strengthen the functioning of our courthouses, monitor performance and efficiency based on data, increase the motivation of our personnel, and improve the quality of services provided to our citizens.
Our goal is clear: to make the Turkey Century the century of justice, and to provide our citizens with stronger, faster, and more accessible justice services. We will continue to work determinedly for the Century of Justice. We wish success to our esteemed nation and justice organization."
