İbrahim Kalın, head of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), issued a message marking 29 October Republic Day. On the 103rd anniversary of the Republic’s founding, Kalın said he remembered the epic written by the nation “with great pride, deep gratitude and infinite respect.”
Kalın: Our Republic will continue to embody our will for independence
Kalın said, “Our Republic will always continue to be an expression of our will for independence, a symbol of the spirit of our unity and solidarity, and the seal of our faith in a shared future.”

Emphasizing that MİT continues to carry out its duties “with determination and resolve, without compromising its dignity and loyalty” for the survival of the state, the peace and security of the nation, and the country’s independence and sovereignty, Kalın commemorated Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Republic, his comrades-in-arms and all martyrs with mercy, and the veterans with gratitude.
Congratulating the nation on Republic Day, Kalın said they would continue working “with a spirit of mobilization at all times” to ensure that the Republic endures forever.
