Türkiye’s Nagoya Consulate General in Japan marked the 103rd anniversary of Republic Day on October 29 with a reception. Turkish citizens living in Japan, Japanese friends and representatives of the consular corps serving in the consulate general’s jurisdiction attended the celebration.
In a post in Turkish and Japanese on its social media account, the consulate general said it was celebrating the Republic’s 103rd anniversary "enthusiastically."

Photographs show Japanese guests taking the podium to speak at a ceremony featuring a portrait of Atatürk and red carnations beside the lectern. Nagoya, the capital of the Aichi region in central Japan, is known for its industrial and automotive companies and is also home to Turkish citizens.
The consulate general also shared the Republic Day spirit with children. At an event organized under the coordination of teachers assigned to the region by Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education and the Turkish-Japanese Cultural Association, children gathered in Turkish-flag-themed and red-and-white clothing to celebrate October 29 together.
