Ömer Çelik commented on the meeting of the Central Executive Board held under the chairmanship of President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Çelik announced that the Fund Coordination Board was preparing an action plan to protect the rights of citizens affected by the fund.
Çelik said the boards and relevant institutions were examining all aspects of the process, including legal gaps. He said steps to remedy the grievances were being planned and that work was underway to submit the necessary legal amendments to Parliament to prevent similar incidents from recurring.
Çelik said the information and documents held by the state would make it possible to distinguish between those who had suffered injustice and those who had obtained unjust gains. He said the process would be conducted without allowing political disputes or provocative activities, adding that perpetrators must be punished and victims' rights protected.
The Terror-Free Türkiye process
Çelik said mechanisms, boards and commissions related to the Terror-Free Türkiye process were continuing their work, adding that there had also been developments concerning the process in Syria and Iraq. He said the terrorist organization must lay down its arms with all its elements, end its activities and gather its members in designated locations for the Framework Law to be implemented.
Çelik argued that the dissolution of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Syria was one of the gains of the Terror-Free Türkiye process. He said that if the Sinjar Resistance Units (YBS), which is linked to the PKK, handed over its weapons to the central government in Iraq, Sinjar Mountain would come under the control of the Iraqi state.
Çelik said there was an expectation that, after the central Iraqi government established control in Sinjar, the Başika-Zilkan area would be gradually transferred to Iraqi forces within 60 days. He said the process would take shape depending on developments in Iraq and the impact of the goal of a Terror-Free Region.
Developments in Syria and the region
Çelik said the understanding of one state, one sovereignty, one country and one army needed to be strengthened in Syria. He said Syria's governing mechanisms should be built around inclusive models that allow Turkish, Kurdish, Arab, Alawite, Sunni, Druze, Nusayri, Yazidi, Christian and Muslim communities to see themselves as part of the system.
Arguing that Israel's stance toward Syria was increasing regional instability, Çelik also addressed developments concerning the 1974 Agreement on Disengagement of Forces. He described the United States' withdrawal from Iraq and Syria as a development that would affect regional balances, and said tensions between the U.S. and Iran and threats targeting Bab al-Mandab in Yemen were creating new risks.
Statement on Gaza
Çelik said they were following developments in Gaza and Israel's actions. He said the second phase should begin under President Donald Trump's Peace Plan, arguing that Hamas had announced it would fulfill its obligations while the Israeli side was unwilling to do so.

Çelik said statements concerning an increase in Israel's military presence in the West Bank had reinforced concerns that the region could be pushed toward a process similar to the situation in Gaza. He said Israel's security justification must not overshadow the right to life of Palestinian women and children.
Political agenda
Çelik welcomed İzmir Mayor Cemil Tugay's joining the AK Party. He said Tugay had announced his change of party without accusing anyone and conveyed a “Welcome” message to him.
Çelik said AK Party Şanlıurfa MP Bekir Bozdağ had stepped down as Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye due to health problems. He announced that Bozdağ had been appointed as Chief Advisor to the Chairman by President Erdoğan's decision.
Çelik said Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was the People's Alliance's candidate for president in the next period. He said the issue was not among the official agenda items of the Central Executive Board, but that the alliance's common view was that Erdoğan should be the candidate.
Çelik also addressed President Erdoğan's telephone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying they continued to monitor developments in the Russia-Ukraine war. He said Türkiye would focus on reform efforts and preparations in domestic politics in the coming period.
Agreements and visit agenda
Çelik announced that the date of President Erdoğan's planned visit to Syria had not yet been finalized. He said the visit was being considered in coordination with Syria.
Çelik said the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement was expected to be submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye within a few days. He said the agreement was not an alternative to NATO or other alliances, but would have a complementary role in terms of regional and global peace.
Çelik also said the uncontrolled development of artificial intelligence posed risks to humanity and that Türkiye needed to develop its own national capacity. He described the interest in the TEKNOFEST Southeast event held in Şanlıurfa as an indication of Türkiye's confidence in the field of technology.
