Palestine’s national football team will play a friendly against Turkish club TÜMOSAN Konyaspor on September 30 in Konya, which the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) named its 2026 Youth Capital. The match, part of a “Palestine Day” program, will be played under the slogan “Our Home Is Your Home.”
The event aims to give the Palestinian team, which has been unable to play most of its international matches on home soil because of the occupation, movement restrictions and conflict, the feeling of being a home side again.
Organized by Türkiye’s Youth and Sports Ministry, Konya Metropolitan Municipality and the OIC Youth Forum, the day-long program will also include a session on developments following the Gaza Tribunal’s ruling and a peace forum. The match will be broadcast by TRT and Anadolu Agency.
According to Konya Metropolitan Municipality, the match kicks off at 20:00 on September 30 at the MEDAŞ Konya Metropolitan Stadium and will be broadcast live on TRT Spor, with free admission. The Palestinian delegation arrived in Konya on September 26. As Palestine’s senior national team is on a training camp in China during the same days, it has not been officially announced which squad will play in Konya.
