Passengers at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport were evacuated to safe areas and shelters after an air alert was declared over a UAV attack threat. Access to the sterile areas of all terminals was temporarily restricted, and passengers on board aircraft were also evacuated.
Passengers were asked over the public-address system to remain calm, stay away from windows and follow staff instructions. They were advised to monitor the status of their flights through the airport's and airlines' official channels, as flight schedules could change and delays could occur.

Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency announced that restrictions had been imposed on landings and takeoffs at Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky and Sheremetyevo airports. More than 20 aircraft heading to Moscow's airports were diverted to other cities.
