Pezeshkian spoke about the war with the United States and the possibility of negotiations at a meeting in Tehran titled “Women of Today, Iran of Tomorrow,” attended by women and experts working in various fields.
Pezeshkian said Iran was defending its territorial integrity against the attacks and that they did not view war as a goal.
Pezeshkian said they would move forward step by step in the negotiation process, guided by wisdom, dignity and their interests. He said the aim of this approach was to end the war, lift the blockade, release blocked resources and then move on to nuclear talks.
Emphasizing that negotiations with the United States did not mean surrender, Pezeshkian cited China as an example. He said some countries had proven themselves through economic competition and stressed the importance of protecting the homeland, serving the public and preserving a sense of national belonging in the face of foreigners.
Pezeshkian also said he appreciated the public’s support during difficult times.
