President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Office.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, Presidential Chief Advisor for Security and Foreign Policy Ambassador Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and İlim Yayma Foundation Board of Trustees Chairman Bilal Erdoğan were also present at the reception.

Cooperation Areas to be Expanded

President Erdoğan emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation between Turkey and Singapore. He stated that efforts would be made to develop relations in many areas, primarily defense, logistics, aviation, maritime, and finance.

Regional Diplomacy Traffic

Regional and global issues were also discussed during the meeting. President Erdoğan stated that Turkey is conducting intensive diplomatic traffic to achieve permanent peace between Iran and the United States.

Noting that they attach importance to ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, Erdoğan announced that they will continue to provide their utmost contribution to the process together with brotherly countries.
