President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated in a social media post on the 10th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt that the fight against the FETÖ terrorist organization will continue.
"Let no one doubt that our struggle will continue until this treacherous network is completely destroyed and the roots of this betrayal network, which assumes every guise, are eradicated," Erdoğan said.
The night of July 15
President Erdoğan noted that on the night of July 15, 2016, the Turkish nation displayed unparalleled unity and wrote a page of heroism in the country's history.
"Ten years ago, on the night of July 15, we wrote a great epic as a single nation. That night, against the FETÖ terrorists who betrayed their uniforms, brave soldiers, gendarmerie, police, special operations and intelligence personnel who remained loyal to their oath and protected the honor of their uniform, together with millions of our citizens who poured into the streets with flags in their hands, prayers on their lips and love for Turkey in their hearts, did not allow the coup plotters to achieve their aims," he said.
The President also thanked all citizens at home and abroad who prayed for the country's security that night.

Martyrs and veterans
Erdoğan emphasized that the memory of those who lost their lives and were injured on the night of the coup attempt will live on forever as part of national history.
"Each of our 253 martyrs and 2,737 veterans has a separate story about that night. May the souls of all our martyrs, who have become eternal symbols of our homeland's existence, rest in peace and may their place be paradise," Erdoğan said, reiterating once again that the fight against FETÖ will continue until it is completely over.
