The Russian government has decided to extend the temporary ban on exports of gasoline, diesel, marine fuel, and gas oil until January 31, 2027. In a written statement, the government emphasized that the decision was taken to maintain price stability in the domestic market.
According to the statement, diesel, marine fuel, and gas oil exported by producers will be exempt from these restrictions as of September 1. In addition, shipments carried out under international intergovernmental agreements will also be excluded from the ban.
Due to attacks by Ukrainian drones on oil refineries in Russia, many facilities have been taken offline for maintenance, and fuel sales are being restricted in some regions of the country. The Russian government had previously banned gasoline and diesel exports as part of precautionary measures.
