Foreign students admitted to Russian universities under the quota set by the Government of the Russian Federation will arrive at later dates because of the International Youth Festival, which will be held in Yekaterinburg from September 11 to 17.
Invitation letters required for entry into Russia will be prepared for students who enrolled under the quota, taking the festival schedule into account. Accordingly, the students are expected to reach the cities where they will study in October.
Officials said students should confirm their exact arrival dates directly with the universities where they enrolled. Students were also asked to remain in contact with their universities if their visa invitations need to be updated.
The International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg is expected to bring together approximately 10,000 participants from 191 countries.
Türkiye is among the countries that will participate in the festival. Selected representatives from Türkiye will travel to Yekaterinburg to attend events held as part of the festival.
