The Russian Space Forces launched a Soyuz-2.1b medium-class rocket from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region of northwestern Russia on Friday. The rocket was carrying a spacecraft.
Roscosmos announced that the launch and the spacecraft’s insertion into its designated orbit proceeded as planned.
Following the launch, ground-based automated control systems at the Titov Main Test and Space Systems Control Center began tracking the rocket. After the spacecraft was placed into orbit, control was transferred to ground facilities operated by the Russian Space Forces.
A stable telemetry link was established with the spacecraft, and its systems were operating normally.
