SPK announced that new accounts had been opened to allow those who made excessive profits from the sale of participation shares in investment funds placed under liquidation during the period before the liquidation decision to voluntarily return those profits to the relevant fund.

The accounts, opened under Capital Markets Law No. 6362 and the relevant legislation, were established separately for each fund at Birleşik Fon Bankası on behalf of the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund. Voluntarily deposited amounts will be included only in the liquidation assets of the relevant fund and may not be transferred to another fund or account.
These amounts will be transferred to Ziraat Bank and Türkiye İş Bank, which have been assigned to handle the liquidation, for use in payments to the fund’s participation share holders.

SPK also announced that a General Share Refund Account had been opened at Birleşik Fon Bankası on behalf of the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund for the return of excessive profits obtained from the purchase and sale of shares in publicly traded companies and similar transactions.
