The Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, organized under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, continues to welcome visitors at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport. The T3 Foundation signed three separate protocols at the festival site for science and technology initiatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Kosovo.
Science Sarajevo to be established in Sarajevo
The first protocol was signed by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, the International University of Sarajevo and the T3 Foundation. The Joint Services Protocol covers the establishment and operation of Science Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
TİKA President Abdullah Eren said Sarajevo had been added to the science center projects carried out by TİKA and the T3 Foundation in Kyrgyzstan, Montenegro and Skopje. Eren said the T3 Foundation's Dene-Yap Workshops experience and other scientific activities would be brought to Sarajevo, adding that work was also underway on various laboratory projects.
T3 Foundation Board Chair Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır said strong interest had continued on the fourth day of the festival and that the foundation was carrying out projects that brought young people of all ages together with science and technology. Hıdır noted that the TEKNOFEST competitions had seen broad participation ranging from children to adults, as well as achievements by young people.
Hıdır announced that the Dene-Yap Workshops' activities would be brought to Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with TİKA and the International University of Sarajevo. The project plans to provide technology-focused training for primary, middle and high school students, while opening project workshops for university students preparing for national and international competitions.
Sevgi Kurtulmuş, chair of the Board of Trustees of the International University of Sarajevo, said the university's rocket team had won first place this year and would receive its awards from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Kurtulmuş said the agreement with the T3 Foundation would contribute to strengthening relations with the Bosniak people.
Cooperation for the science center in Skopje
The second protocol was signed by the International Balkan University and the T3 Foundation to develop cooperation in science, technology, education, research and youth affairs.
Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır said the T3 Foundation wanted to continue its activities in Türkiye more effectively with partners in friendly and brotherly regions. Hıdır said a science center would soon open in Skopje in cooperation with TİKA, adding that the International Balkan University would take part in operating the center and in projects to be carried out in Skopje and other cities.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilal Sucubaşı, chair of the Board of Trustees of the International Balkan University, said the agreement was important for passing the friendly relations between North Macedonia and Türkiye on to future generations. Sucubaşı said the protocol would help students from North Macedonia become individuals who not only use technology but also develop it and contribute to it.
Science project to be launched in Podujeva
The third protocol was signed by the Municipality of Podujeva and the T3 Foundation for the establishment and operation of the Science Podujeva Project, which will be implemented in Kosovo's Podujeva municipality. Podujeva Mayor Shpejtim Bulliqi and Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır signed the protocol.
