Tension in Front of CHP Headquarters: Kılıçdaroğlu Supporters Demand Evacuation
The latest developments regarding the evacuation tension in front of the CHP Headquarters following the management change and the demands of Kılıçdaroğlu supporters.
With the 'absolute nullity' decision in CHP, the current management was dismissed, and former chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his team were reinstated. Following this decision, tension rose between Kılıçdaroğlu supporters and the current management in front of the CHP Headquarters. In the morning hours, Kılıçdaroğlu supporters attempted to deliver an evacuation request by walking to the Headquarters, but the building doors were locked and no one was allowed inside. A large number of police and riot police were present at the scene. Negotiations between deputies close to Kılıçdaroğlu and those on duty at the Headquarters ended without result. Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer submitted a petition to Ankara Police requesting action for the delivery of the Headquarters. It was reported that a phone call took place last night between Kılıçdaroğlu and Özgür Özel, and a critical summit is scheduled for 14:00 today. However, the developments and scuffles indicate high tension within the party.
