Authorities took an important measure following the increased risk of forest fires in Muğla. With the general order issued by the Muğla Governorship, entry to 50 forest areas across the province is banned between June 1 and October 31, 2026. This ban will only apply to authorized institution personnel and permitted individuals. Officials stated that the main purpose of this decision is to minimize the human-caused fire risk, especially during the summer months. Additionally, activities that could cause fires, such as stubble burning, have also been prohibited. These measures taken by the Muğla Province Forest Fire Fighting Commission are considered a critical step for the protection of forests in the region.
