3 People Lost Their Lives in Flood and Landslide in Hatay, 1 Person Missing
3 people lost their lives and 1 person is missing due to floods and landslides caused by heavy rains in Hatay. Search and rescue operations in the region continue.
In Hatay, where meteorology issued a heavy rain warning, intense rainfall has been effective since last night. Streets in the city turned into lakes, and in the landslide in the Hacı Ömer Alpagot Neighborhood of Antakya district, a 15-year-old Syrian child lost his life in a collapsed house. Additionally, the driver found in the area where the vehicle fell due to a collapse on the Antakya-Samandağ road also died. The lifeless body of a citizen named Ş.K., who went missing in the flood disaster in the Tekebaşı Neighborhood of Samandağ district, was found by teams. Search efforts continue for a person swept away by floodwaters in Samandağ. It was reported that the health condition of the mother and father living in the house affected by the landslide is good, while the 10-year-old child's treatment continues in intensive care.
