The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) officially announced the foreign player rule to be applied in the Süper Lig next season. Accordingly, clubs can have a maximum of 14 foreign players on the A Team list. At least 4 of these 14 players must have been born on or after January 1, 2003. On the other hand, there is no age criterion for the 10 foreign players in the squad. The new regulation is considered a step towards encouraging clubs to develop young foreign players. In TFF's statement, it was noted that clubs with contracts with more than 14 foreign players can only field the players listed in the A Team matches. This development draws attention as a significant change in the foreign player policies in the Süper Lig.
