In Karasu district of Sakarya, due to bad weather conditions, the 80-meter-long Cameroon-flagged dry cargo ship NINOVA, which drifted and stranded on the Black Sea coast, was declared a dangerous area for safety reasons. Coast Guard Command teams, under the supervision of lifeguard teams, placed buoys around the ship and closed the area to sea entry. Rescue and cleaning operations carried out by the Karasu Port Authority are ongoing. The local community and sea users were informed to pay attention to the warnings of the authorities.
