The services production index rose 2.3% in August
The services production index rose 2.3% in August from the same month last year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute. The index increased 0.2% month on month, while information and communication services stood out with an annual increase of 9.9%.

On an annual basis, transportation and storage services rose 1.8%, accommodation and food services 2%, information and communication services 9.9%, professional, scientific and technical services 1.1%, and administrative and support services 1.2%.
Real estate services, meanwhile, recorded an annual decline of 7.5%.
Monthly changes
In August, transportation and storage services fell 0.4% from the previous month, accommodation and food services declined 0.7%, and professional, scientific and technical services decreased 0.9%.
Over the same period, information and communication services increased 0.3%, real estate services 2.6%, and administrative and support services 2.6%.
