Tick bite claims life in Yozgat
Mehmet Akkaya, who was bitten by a tick in Sorgun district of Yozgat, was taken under treatment in Ankara on suspicion of CCHF but could not be saved. His body was buried in Akdağmadeni...
Mehmet Akkaya, who lives in the Sorgun district of Yozgat, fell ill after a tick bite four days ago. When his condition worsened, his family took him to Sorgun State Hospital, and he was then referred to Ankara Etlik City Hospital.
Here, Akkaya was treated in the Anesthesia Intensive Care Unit on suspicion of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever but could not be saved despite all interventions.
The body of Mehmet Akkaya was received by his relatives. The funeral was held at Akdağmadeni District Cemetery.
