Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff highlighted Lewis Hamilton’s recent resurgence while also drawing attention to his personal life. Wolff suggested that Hamilton’s relationship with Kim Kardashian could have positively influenced his driving and overall energy.
Drawing from his own experience, Wolff mentioned that a stable family life can be beneficial. According to him, when emotional, personal, and professional aspects align well, it can strengthen an athlete’s performance.
It has long been discussed that Hamilton and Kim Kardashian have been together in recent months. Kardashian made her first appearance at the track to support Hamilton at the Monaco Grand Prix.
At the Monaco race, Hamilton finished on the podium in second place once again, following his runner-up position in Canada. He then won the Spanish Grand Prix, securing his first victory against Ferrari.
In the Spanish race, Hamilton crossed the finish line 19.5 seconds ahead of his former Mercedes teammate George Russell. This marked the 106th win of his career.
In his post-race assessment, Wolff also touched on Hamilton’s harmony within the team, his relationship with his race engineer, and his strength on the track. He noted that Hamilton’s facial expressions reflected happiness, supporting the positive picture.
Wolff explained that success cannot be attributed to a single factor; alongside work discipline, emotional and personal balance also play a role. He expressed his belief that Hamilton has entered a strong phase again through the combination of these elements.
With these results, Hamilton rose to second place in the drivers’ standings. Trailing leader Kimi Antonelli by 41 points, Hamilton has become a strong contender once more in the championship race.
