Trade Minister Bolat met with his British counterpart Reynolds in Milwaukee, United States, where he was attending the G20 Trade Ministers’ Meeting.
Bolat said the meeting addressed strengthening trade and investment relations, negotiations to expand the free trade agreement, increasing investments and deepening engagement between the business communities of the two countries.
Bolat said trade between the two countries reached $24 billion in 2025. He said the figure demonstrated the strong potential of bilateral relations.

Bolat said the goal was to make trade more competitive and integrated following the completion of the free trade agreement negotiations, whose fifth round was held this week. He added that steps to increase bilateral trade and investment would continue in order to reach the $40 billion joint trade volume target announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
