Air links between Türkiye and Hong Kong expand
Air transport between the two sides has expanded through new agreements in recent months. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Türkiye and Hong Kong’s Civil Aviation Department agreed in a memorandum signed in September 2025 to grant airlines the right to operate 14 passenger flights per week and to begin a new round of negotiations to update cargo traffic rights.
Turkish Cargo, THY’s cargo brand, also signed a separate memorandum with Hong Kong-based Hong Kong Air Cargo in April 2025 to explore opportunities for strategic cooperation in global air cargo operations.
