Deputy Foreign Minister Ekinci briefs Francophone ambassadors on COP31 preparations
Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Berris Ekinci briefed Francophone ambassadors about COP31, to be held in Antalya, at an event held at the French Embassy in Ankara. France said its support could be relied upon for COP31’s success.
Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Berris Ekinci attended an event held at the French Embassy in Ankara with the participation of ambassadors of Francophone countries based in Ankara.
At the event, Ekinci briefed the ambassadors on COP31, the United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held in Antalya from November 9 to 20.
France: You can rely on our support for COP31
The French Embassy in Ankara thanked Ekinci for attending after the event. The embassy said, “You can rely on France’s support and mobilization to turn this important event into a shared success.”
Türkiye will host COP31 in Antalya and assume the conference presidency. Francophone countries are those that use French as a common language and come together under the umbrella of the International Organisation of La Francophonie.
