Turkish Armed Forces adopt domestic SAR9 METE CE as service pistol
Officers and NCOs joining the Turkish Armed Forces will be issued the domestically developed Sarsılmaz SAR9 METE CE as their service pistol.
Officers and non-commissioned officers starting service in the Turkish Armed Forces will be issued the new-generation domestic SAR9 METE CE as their service pistol. It was designed and produced by Sarsılmaz under the Original Domestic Pistol Development project launched by Türkiye’s Defense Industry Agency.
The pistol has interchangeable ergonomic parts, ambidextrous controls, an accessory rail and a 30,000-round service life, and meets NATO performance standards after tests in water, sand, dust and extreme temperatures. Sarsılmaz will deliver it in its largest shipment to the armed forces in recent years.
