Türkiye’s construction output index rises 2.3% year on year and 4% monthly in August
The Turkish Statistical Institute announced that the construction output index rose 2.3% year on year and 4% month on month in August. Construction of buildings other than residential and non-residential structures led the annual increase at 21.8%, while the building construction index fell 0.9%.
The Turkish Statistical Institute released data on the construction output index for August. The construction output index rose 2.3% year on year.
Annual changes in sub-sectors
The index’s sub-sectors moved in different directions year on year. The index for the construction of buildings other than residential and non-residential structures rose 21.8%, while the index for specialized construction activities increased 0.1%.
Over the same period, the index for building construction fell 0.9%.
Monthly increase of 4%
The construction output index rose 4% in August from the previous month. During this period, the index for building construction rose 4.5%, the index for the construction of buildings other than residential and non-residential structures increased 2.2%, and the index for specialized construction activities rose 3.8%.
