Türkiye’s Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş meets North Macedonia’s speaker in Rome
Türkiye’s Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş met with North Macedonia’s Assembly Speaker Evrim Gaşi in Rome, where he was attending the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament. Kurtulmuş said relations between the two countries were progressing at an excellent level and that Türkiye would continue supporting North Macedonia.
Türkiye’s Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş met with North Macedonia’s Assembly Speaker Evrim Gaşi in Rome, the capital of Italy, where he was attending the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament.
During the meeting, held Thursday at the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Kurtulmuş said relations between Türkiye and North Macedonia were progressing at an excellent level.
Kurtulmuş said the Turkish community in North Macedonia formed a strong bond between the two countries. He stated that Türkiye did not view North Macedonia’s security and stability separately from its own security and stability.
Kurtulmuş said Türkiye would continue supporting North Macedonia through all its institutions, as it has done to date. Türkiye-North Macedonia Interparliamentary Friendship Group Secretary-General and Istanbul MP Yahya Çelik, along with several Turkish lawmakers, also attended the meeting.
