Water levels in dams across Kırklareli, which had fallen due to last year's drought, have risen again following recent rainfall. According to data from the DSİ 11th Regional Directorate, the average water capacity of the four dams in the province has reached 60%.
The total storage volume of the Kırklareli, Kayalıköy, Armağan, and Çayırdere dams is 343 million 430 thousand cubic meters, with 205 million 247 thousand cubic meters of water currently stored.
This recent measurement indicates a significant recovery in dam water levels, which had declined last year due to drought in the region.
Kayalıköy Dam Leads in Water Volume
Among the dams, Kayalıköy Dam holds the highest water volume, measured at 86 million 447 thousand cubic meters. It is noted that this dam also supplies drinking water to Edirne.
The increase in water reserves in Kırklareli highlights the impact of rainfall on the region's dams. This current situation allows for close monitoring of the province's status in terms of both drinking water supply and storage capacity.
