The European Union is preparing to phase out single-use sauce packets used in restaurants and cafes as part of new environmental policies aimed at reducing packaging waste.
The new regulation will limit the serving of products such as ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, soy sauce, and sugar in small single-use packages.
The implementation is planned to take effect on August 12.
The decision is expected to change usage habits in restaurant and cafe businesses and reduce the amount of packaging waste generated.
