62 Thousand Lira Fine and License Confiscated from Motorcycle Driver with Modified Exhaust in Aksaray
A young driver using a motorcycle with a modified exhaust in Aksaray was caught after removing the license plate and fleeing. A fine of 62 thousand lira was imposed and the license was confiscated for 1 month.
The incident took place on Ebulfeyz Elçibey Street in the Taşpazar neighborhood of Aksaray. 19-year-old İsmail Y. removed the license plate of his motorcycle with a modified exhaust, plate number 06 DZF 913, placed it under his arm, and went out into traffic. While passing by the guards on Ebulfeyz Elçibey Street, he revved the exhaust and increased the motorcycle's sound. The driver did not comply with the guards' stop warning and was caught about half an hour later on a street. When traffic teams inspected the motorcycle, they found that the plate was not attached and that a modified exhaust was used. The driver tried to take the plate out from under his arm and attach it. As a result of the procedures, the driver was fined a total of 62 thousand lira for various offenses, his license was confiscated for 1 month, and the motorcycle was banned from traffic for 1 month and towed to the parking lot.
