The “A Day in Gaza” photography exhibition, organized in İzmir through a partnership between Anadolu Agency and Ege University, has opened.
Alper Akdeniz is coordinating the exhibition, held at Ege University’s Atatürk Cultural Center. It features around 60 photographs taken by Anadolu Agency photographers working in Gaza.
Scenes of war and daily life from Gaza
The photographs show the destruction in Gaza as well as scenes from the daily lives of people trying to survive under wartime conditions. The exhibition also conveys the difficulties faced by children, along with the continuing solidarity and hope in the region.

Ahmet Caner Baysal, Anadolu Agency’s İzmir Regional Director, briefed Ege University Vice Rector Murat Boyacı on the photographs in the exhibition.
Boyacı said the photographs had deeply affected him and contained striking images showing different aspects of what is happening in Gaza. Thanking Anadolu Agency, Boyacı said the exhibition contributed to conveying the situation in Gaza to the world.
Boyacı said developments in Gaza were visible to the world but were often ignored, adding that the exhibition offered an opportunity to see the events in the region more closely.
The exhibition will be open to visitors until October 14. Since October 2023, more than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, more than 175,000 people have been injured, and approximately 90 percent of the infrastructure has been destroyed.
