Baykar’s unmanned aerial vehicles and smart systems carried out various joint missions during the Ateş Serbest-2026 exercise held in Ankara’s Polatlı district.
The exercise featured the Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV, Bayraktar TB2 UAV, K2 Kamikaze UAV, SİVRİSİNEK Smart Loitering Munition, Bayraktar KALKAN VTOL UAV and KEMANKEŞ 1 artificial intelligence-based mini cruise missile.
Autonomous swarm operation conducted
During the exercise, five K2 Kamikaze UAVs took off and controlled and coordinated a swarm consisting of 20 SİVRİSİNEK Smart Loitering Munitions through a connection established with the ground control station.

Ten SİVRİSİNEK munitions broke away from the group conducting an autonomous swarm operation in the air and carried out salvo dives onto designated points, destroying the targets with pinpoint accuracy.
The Bayraktar KALKAN VTOL UAV detected, tracked and controlled the targets using the BG-180 3E Three-Axis Stabilized Electro-Optical system developed by Baykar and used for the first time.
Target detection and strikes with AKINCI and TB2
Of the two AKINCI aircraft participating in the exercise, the first, which is part of the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces, struck the designated targets using TEBER, TOLUN, MAM-L TV and MAM-T munitions.

The other AKINCI, which took off from Çorlu, detected air and ground targets using its MURAD AESA radar. KEMANKEŞ 1, launched from a Bayraktar TB2 in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces, also struck its target.
AKINCI and Bayraktar TB2 also conducted a flyby.

Coordination in network-centric warfare
The platforms developed by Baykar completed their missions during the exercise. The activities demonstrated the unmanned systems’ capabilities for simultaneous mission management, autonomous swarm operations, target detection and precision strikes in a network-centric warfare environment.
These missions demonstrated the platforms’ effectiveness in joint operations.
