Explosive meant for Silivri factory detonates in teen's hand, severing fingers
In the Silivri Ortaköy Industrial Zone, 17-year-old A. tried to throw an explosive at a recycling plant; the explosive detonated in his hand, severing his fingers. The suspect was taken into custody after being treated at the hospital.
The incident took place at night on July 20 in the Silivri Ortaköy Industrial Zone. 17-year-old A.H.Ö., who arrived by motorcycle, attempted to throw an explosive at a recycling plant for an as yet unknown reason.
The explosive he tried to throw at the plant detonated in the suspect's hand. The force of the explosion severed A.H.Ö.'s fingers.
Detained in Hospital
A.H.Ö., who went to the Büyükçekmece Mimar Sinan State Hospital on his own, received initial treatment there. Later transferred by ambulance to the Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital, the suspect was taken into custody after describing what happened.

The suspect's arrival by motorcycle and the moment the explosive detonated in his hand were recorded by the workplace security camera. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
