Fatal crash on Konya-Adana highway kills 8-year-old, injures 3

Accident Occurs on Konya-Adana Highway

The accident occurred at around 12:30 p.m. on the 30th kilometer of the Konya-Adana highway. The car with license plate 26 DM 232, driven by Hanifi Kapşa, veered off the road after the driver lost steering control, rolled into a ditch and overturned.

8-Year-Old Child Dies at the Scene

Upon notification from bystanders, medical, police and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that 8-year-old İsmail Cem Kapşa, who was in the car, had lost his life. The child's body was taken to the Konya Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy.

The injured driver, father Hanifi Kapşa, his wife and their other child were taken by ambulances to Konya City Hospital.
