MONDO, one of Finland’s leading travel magazines, has dedicated the cover and an extensive travel feature in its November 2026 issue to Türkiye. Türkiye’s Embassy in Helsinki highlighted the Türkiye feature in the magazine’s new issue.
The magazine’s cover features the word “Turkki” (Türkiye) in large letters. The cover blurb invites readers to discover Istanbul’s new gems, Antalya’s experience-filled surprises and idyllic Rize. The Türkiye headline appears in the largest type on the cover, ahead of the headlines for London, Rovaniemi and Mauritius.
“Istanbul is always new”
The Istanbul section of the feature is titled “Aina Uusi Istanbul” (Istanbul is always new). Written by Hannu Pöppönen and photographed by Aleksi Poutanen, the article covers the city’s historic and contemporary faces, fashionable neighborhoods and hamam culture. Its opening page highlights an authentic bazaar, a high-quality contemporary art museum, neighborhoods known for their street food and a hamam whose style captivates visitors.

After Istanbul, the feature introduces Finnish readers to Antalya’s experience-filled surprises and Rize’s tranquil natural beauty. The pages include ancient structures, Mediterranean shores and women in traditional local clothing among tea plantations.

MONDO is published by A-lehdet, a Helsinki-based publishing group. Alongside the Türkiye feature, the magazine’s November issue includes topics such as five winter recommendations from the Alps and tips for Paris.
